Windows 10: HP All In One Touch PC - Touchscreen lets me do everything but click

Hello.

I have a HP desktop with touchscreen functionality (HP Pavilion 23-h100 Touch All-in-One Desktop PC), but I have a major problem with the touchscreen.

It detects me moving my finger(s), and I can even drag windows and scroll down, but it does not let me 'click' on anything. I can't recalibrate it because it doesn't detect any clicking... I'm at a loss for what to do.

I've looked up on other forums, reset my computer, re-installed the HID compatible driver, and tried just about everything involving modifying the touchpad and pencil settings, but nothing helps because the touchscreen functionality DOES work except for the one detail.

Upgraded to windows 10 and touchscreen stopped working

I have an hp envy touchsmart ultrabook 4 an my touchscreen stopped working but I tried everything mentioned but I'm missing the drives for the touchscreen there are no tablet pc settings or no pen or touch settings I don't se the drive in control panel can
you help me find the driver

 

HP Pavillion 11.6" Touchscreen not working (Windows 10)

I recently bought an HP Pavilion Touchscreen this last month and the computer worked great and the touchscreen and tablet capabilities worked. All of a sudden the touchscreen will not work but everything else with computer seems fine. I have researched
a little and tried different things but nothing seems to help. I can't find a touchscreen driver and it reads, "touch and pen input not available in this display." If someone could help me out that would be great!

When did this problem start. If recently then I would suggest, assuming you have restore points enabled, that you restore to a known working version.

If this works, then it is likely a driver was updated for you that is causing the issue. I would disable Windows updating your drivers.

Stop Windows Updating Drivers
Right click on Windows Start
Click on Control Panel
Click on System and Security
Click on System
Click on Advance system settings
Click on Hardware tab
Click on Device Installation Settings
Click on No
A menu appears (first time) click Never Install driver software.
You may get a warning. Click the option that says I’ll take care of it (not exact words)
