    HP D5160 Printer Problem


    Hello there,

    I have an old HP D5160 Printer and I have just noticed that the standby light, power light is on but the printer is off or not fictional in any way and according to my PC it is offline. This is very wierd and I hope you can help me. And before anyone asks yes I have asked on HP support forum, but I thought that I would ask on here as well.

    Hi

    There is no issue with the printer. The problem is with windows update continually failing to install an update for the HP printer.

    The error message is:

    HP - Printers - HP Deskjet 2540 series - Error 0x80240017

    HP D5160 Printer Problem

    I would uninstall your printer and remove all software through programs. I would download the most recent drivers.

    Most HP printers want you to install software / drivers before connecting device. If you have your quick start guide you can confirm.

    So install the software and when requested connect the printer.
