    I replaced the electronics module in my HP Designjet 130 because the existing one was broken.I took the electronics module from another working printer I had HP Designjet 130nr.The electronics module was working fine in the HP Designjet 130nr, but the printer hardware was partly worn out/damaged, that's why I wanted to put the electronics module in the HP Designjet 130.At startup I get the following symptoms:The display shows a blank lit front panel and the yellow led flashes cannot turn off the printer or enter the restricted utilities menu "EEPROM clean, factory reset, etc."--nothing m

    HP DesignJet 130 not printing

    Please help! My HP DesignJet 130 printer has stopped working.

    Exhausted all troubleshooting options that I could think about or find. Nothing works.

    Please HELP urgently.

    I have tested the printer on Windows 8.1 laptop and it works, so the hardware is not faulty. It seems to all point to an issue between Windows 10 and the HP Designjet 130 driver.

    Funny thing is that it has been working fine on Windows 10 for quite a while, so I think it might be a recent Windows update that has caused the prolem.

    Pre Windows diagnostic – no problem – go ahead – upgrade

    Printer worked fine in Windows XP and then 7

    Sees printer will not print!

    Removed printer and reinstalled

    Current HP Driver 8.10 installed

    Yes this is the default printer (I can print to a network printer)

    Printer is connected with parallel cable LPT1 Local Install.

    Device manager – says no issue “working properly”

    HP Print and Scan Doctor – can’t connect (sees it can’t connect)

    Restarted Print Spooler – still no print

    Printer has been removed and reinstalled

    Ran Microsoft troubleshooting, etc. – kicks me to “more help forum, community”

    Followed and exhausted all FAQ, forums, and tech suggestions from HP and Microsoft

    Turned off Firewall – that was not issue

    Uninstalled Adobe Reader – that was not issue

    Turned off security – that was not the issue

    HP DesignJet 130 not printing

    I work on HP printers and have had several calls the past five days The only workaround I have found is to download the DesignJet T120 driver for 24” plotters and then the T520 for the 42” plotters and this has worked for several people.

    The only fallback is the T520 is a 36 inch plotter so that’s as wide as you’ll be able to print not 42”.

    I am going to try the other gentleman’s post about uninstalling the updates and see if that does correct it. But if you need a quick fix, download the Designjet t120 driver and it will print.
