Windows 10: HP desk top computer does not have a router

Discus and support HP desk top computer does not have a router in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I bought a router for my computer and I have extra slow speed and some programs like facebook gameroom will not load games, it has really slowed down...     HP desk top computer does not have a router


    I bought a router for my computer and I have extra slow speed and some programs like facebook gameroom will not load games, it has really slowed down my computer. I had a professional hook it up. Does anyone know of a fix for this. I don't know computer terms as I am 69 and we did not have all this stuff.

    Desk top icons keep refreshing

    I installed a HP 6250 Wi-Fi printer. Now the desk top icons keep refreshing. It seem to have slowed down all the processing on my computer. Printer and scanner work ok.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Yes, it probably will (when it's on even at idle) if you are talking about a desktop computer. Laptops on the other hand produce less heat but are also more susceptible to heat.

    On Saturday, I am getting an Antique Roll Top Desk for my Computer Room. I will be taking the old desk and will be putting it in my room, since I need more desk space.

    As you all know, a Roll Top Desk has a top that opens and closes. If I put my tower and monitor on this desk, and close the top, will it cause ventilation issues for the computer? I will only be closing the top when the computer is turned off.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    P.S. I know this question is a little odd to ask.
