Windows 10: HP desktop thinks its an Acer.

Hello, a few days ago I had to download an alternate version of Windows from my Acer laptop to fix my HP desktop, but now it thinks it is an Acer, and I cannot use Windows Security. Is there any way to revert my desktop back to an original HP device?I've already tried to completely factory reset my PC, but it still thinks it is an acer.

Mom's Acer Desktop with Network Adapter Issue

I want to thank you all that assisted me on fixing my mother's Acer desktop that we bought in 2013 or 2014.

After many steps of troubleshooting, finding no updated network adapter driver software because of the computer being no longer in support by Acer, and the issue not being resolved, I decided to sell the Acer and in turn I purchased my mother a new HP (Hewlett-Packard) Desktop that came out last year (2020). It should be delivered this Monday.

Her new computer (The HP Desktop) is similar to mine but newer. I will post a link of the computer in the thread below from HP.

Acer Laptops :are they crap ?

Acer makes a cheap prodcut period. They user lower end plastics, as well as assembly. (I hate working on Acer laptops)

If budget is an issue then get an acer... though for $50 more you could get a gateway that will smoke the acer in terms of quality.

For a laptop though i would suggest one of the DV7T's from HP or a Business class Toshiba/HP/IBM (not the lenovo branded, the Thinkpads)

 

HP 6968 Printer wont install on HP Envy but will on ACER laptop

My HP 6968 stopped printing from my HP Envy 700-310 desktop. I tried to reinstall, but it would not. I followed a couple of the suggestions in the HP Community. Still no printing. When I was trying to install it, did put the printer in Bluetooth and Other
devices, but not in Printers and Scanners. It did install on an ACER laptop with no problem.

It may be because I have had to clone the drive 3 times. I upgraded to an SSD, but after a few weeks a connection part on the SSD broke and I had to have it cloned back to an HDD while I was waiting for a replacement SSD. It is now back on an SSD. Could
some files have been damaged in the cloning process. That is the only thing left that my IT guy at work and I can think of.

Does anybody have any suggestions other than resetting my PC
