    HP EliteBook Audio Troubleshooting


    my computer does not have audio during media playback. im not very tech savy but the microsoft assistant said no audio output device found so i plugged in headphones. still nothing. it also said something about missing audio driver whatever that means

    audio not working on my hp elitebook 8470p?

    Does anyone know how to get the audio working on their hp elitebook 8470p? mine stopped after i updated my laptop.

    Only 1 channel of audio from HP EliteBook

    So just bought a pair of bookshelf speakers and a generic amp for my dad. We hooked them up to his HP Elitebook laptop with a component audio to 3.5 mm cable, but end up only getting 1 channel of audio. It's not the amp, the speakers or the cable, as plugging his Galaxy S4 Mini in results in sound playing from both speakers. What could be causing the issue? It's weird, because the old 2.1 speakers he had plays stereo just fine when we plug those in.

    We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

    • Type troubleshooting on the search box.
    • Click View all.
    • Select Recording Audio.
    • Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.
