Uninstall HP ENVY 5020 All-in-One Printer

FWIW, I used the following steps to uninstall an HP Envy 5660 from several machines, always with success. I don't know if "any traces" are left, but I have no problem reinstalling or installing a different HP printer. Remove previous HP Envy 5660 printer drivers by doing the following: a. Turn off printer and uninstall any HP software under programs b. Remove device HP Envy 5660 under Control Panel/Devices and Printers c. Run “printui.exe /s” and under Drivers tab, remove any HP Envy 5660 drivers and packages d. Reboot the PC HTH

 

HP 4650 All in one printer won't print in color

I appreciate your swift response, please try the steps below.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Control panel, click Devices and Printers

2.) In the Devices and Printers folder right click on your HP Officejet 4650 and left click on Printer Properties.

3.) Left click on the Advanced tab

4.) Left click on New Driver

5.) When the New Driver window opens just hit 'next' until you see a list of Manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.

6.) Select HP as the Manufacturer on the left

7.) Select HP Envy 7640 as the printer on the right. If HP Envy 7640 doesn't appear than select 'Windows Update' on the bottom left and once the update completes you will be able to select HP Envy 4500.

8.) After selecting HP Envy 7640 hit next to complete the New Driver Wizard.

9.) Under the Printer Properties window select 'Apply' but don't hit OK

10.) Select the General tab

11.) Rename your printer back to HP Officejet 4650.

12.) Hit OK.

HP Envy Printer problem

How is the envy connected to the computer USB or wireless Looking at your sceenshot I presume it is wireless I do not think the problem is the configuration for it to use the WSD port Web Services for devices That if it was a problem usually results in the printer being shown as offline. Can we go back to my post I made very early on in the thread. How do you configure a print demand If you use the Edge Browser when you click print on there from the three dots on the top right of the screen and the PRINT window opens - on the left hand pane if you scroll down you will see the entry COLOUR and on the drop arrow you can configure it for colour or black and white ================= If that does not help then whilst I do not think it is the WSD setting I suggest you follow this https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printe...t/td-p/8021761 not your printer but the principle is the same. ====================
