Windows 10: HP Envy Wireless Keyboard Glitchy and also Not letting me type passcode to sign in

As soon as I turn on my computer and the sign on screen appears, I put the cursor in the box but nothing types. I finally managed to get the keyboard to work by clicking some link on the lower right that's available when you sign on but it had nothing to do with the keyboard. Then keyboard is glitchy for a while and then works.

Please share the details.

  What do you mean by ‘compromised the passcode’?
  
• 
  What is the make and model of your computer?
  
• 
  Have you checked with a different keyboard? What is the status?
  

As a work around, I suggest you to unplug and reconnect the keyboard from the system and check if it resolves the issue.



If the issue persists, I suggest you to use On Screen Keyboard and check if you are able to type the password correctly.

If you can sign in using On Screen Keyboard, I suggest you to download and install the latest chipset drivers from your computer manufacturer website and check if it resolve the issue.

HP Envy Laptop Battery not charging after Windows 10 installation

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
• Restart the computer and check.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.
