Windows 10: hp envy x 360 convertible no longer has touchscreen capabilities

please help


my hp envy x 360 convertible no longer has touchscreen capablities.


It worked perfectly until i did a windows update in May. It's been all downhill from there.


There is no touchscreen driver to uninstall and reinstall in the HID compliant devices in Device Mgr. and none under the hidden tab either.


I have a code 10 on my ElanEzTouchFilter that says the request for the HID descriptor has failed. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall. Still doesn't work


I have gone to HP to attempt to download the drivers and consistently it tells me my machine is up to date .


I have factory reset. No luck.


I just want my touchscreen back. So is it possible to purchase the repair disc for my machine and then if I install this will it take it back to the original condition I bought it in and then will it have touchscreen?


I can see that after months of research and frustration that this is not an isolated instance and yet Microsoft has not come up with a fix to the problem that they caused for many. Why is that? Why do we in good faith purchase a computer and run the Microsoft programs only to have both the supplier and Microsoft not step up to the plate and give us a simple reason for the problem and fix it?


Is there any one out there who has a solution to the problem? If so please help me.

Touchscreen HP ENVY x360

Hi. I have problems with the touch screen laptop HP ENVY X 360 M6-W105DX does not work the touch screen driver. Operating system Windows 10 Home, 64 bit. The BIOS has been updated to the latest version of F.37, the new Windows
10 Home 2004 has been loaded, all Windows Update updates have been installed and the sensor is not working. Help install the touch screen driver, please.

The I2C HID Device is visible in Device Manager. I also tried to update the drivers using HP Support Assistant. No result.

I see that the problem with the touchscreen drivers of HP is not solved. This is not good when such premium laptops have problems.

The Hp Envy 360 has a sensor on the motherboard that disables the keyboard when it is folded back that disables the keyboard, I am sorry, that is not possible . ..

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in troubleshooting this issue. The details provided helps us to avoid repeating the steps.

This issue can occur if some of the system files and drivers are not working as expected.

Suggest you to refer and follow the steps from this article on ‘Troubleshooting Touch Screen issues’.

Important: Your screen resolution needs to be at least 1024 x 768 to have multiple windows and apps on your screen at the same time.

Follow these steps to uninstall the driver from the PC.

1. Open Device Manager.
   
2. Select the arrow next to Human Interface Devices and select HID-compliant touch screen.
   
3. Right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall.
   
4. Restart your PC, and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
   

You may also want to
download the drivers from the OEM HP website and install it to check if that helps.
