Windows 10: Hp frozen at "Choose your keyboard layout" screen

Good morning,


I have an HP 625 Laptop, with Windows 10. It works almost flawlessly with a few exceptions with errors that pop up regarding the battery in which I ignore. Upon startup, it comes to a black screen with Microsoft icon saying "Preparing Automatic Repair". A few moments later, it comes to a blue screen titled "Choose your keyboard layout" across the screen is a list of different keyboards for different languages, etc. The mouse does not work on this screen, nor any of the keys. The only two buttons that seem to have any function are the button for the disc player and the power button. I have been a Windows fan for years, I would love to have this issue resolved.

Stuck at Choose your keyboard layout

During an automatic repair on a reboot, How do I get passed the frozen "choose your keyboard layout" screen? I have an HP Pavilion.

 

Computer frozen on "Choose your keyboard layout"

Yesterday when I shut my computer down it ran updates first. This morning I come in to a frozen shut down screen. I did a hard shut down and then turned it back on to a blue "Choose your keyboard layout" screen and the mouse and keyboard don't work at
all. I can't get passed this screen.

 

Stuck at Choose your keyboard layout

"Reset Your PC" requires that you get to the Login screen but the point here is that the PC boots into a frozen screen for Keyboard Layout. The screen is frozen at Choose Keyboard Layout. There is no possible keyboard action. Even Ctrl-Alt-Del does
nothing. Your instruction to reset the pc does not make sense.
