Windows 10: hp laptop brightness is continuously increasing to 100 % when it is turned on

Hello , my hp laptop brightness is continuously increasing to 100 % when it is turned on ; when i try to reduce brightness again it automatically increase to 100 % with brightness icon staying on display , please any one help me

i am currently having a problem with windows 10 .. which is my screen brightness increases to 100% when launching multimedia apps such as vlc etc .. i have disabled the adaptive brightness but still i am facing this issue which is very awkward

 

Windows 10 increasing automatically brightness to 100%

I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and since then whenever I am launching a multimedia app like VLC, Paint.net etc., the brightness gets increased to 100%. I don't want so high brightness and it's so annoying to reduce it everytime. Please tell me how to disable this, I want my brightness fixed at 85%. Also note that my Adaptive Brightness is turned off as I have already checked. Please help

 

Can't adjust brightness when the power plugged or unplugged

Hi there,

• Previous status:

brightness 100%, plugged in; brightness 50%, unplugged.

When I unplugged the laptop, the brightness will decrease down to 50%. And will increase back to 100% when the laptop plugged in back automatically.

• Current status:

Always keep the last brightness setting, no matter laptop plugged in or unplugged, the brightness doesn't change.

Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks!
