Windows 10: hp laptop doesn't see external drive

Discus and support hp laptop doesn't see external drive in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; my new hp dq5000 laptop running windows 11 does not see my seagate backup portable drive, my old pc running windows 8 sees the drive thus the drive...     hp laptop doesn't see external drive


    my new hp dq5000 laptop running windows 11 does not see my seagate backup portable drive, my old pc running windows 8 sees the drive thus the drive must be working.

    I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

    I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

    I can not format laptop HP Pavilion 15t-eg0000 from external bootable

    I have some issue on the windows of my new laptop.
    I downloaded WIN 10 iso file from Microsoft website then attached to the external USB via RUFUS app.
    The USB is bootable and recognized by the laptop but the local drive is not showing on the list of the drive.
    Is this a new security step on the BIOS?
    Please help me to sort out this issue.

    Hi John,

    There are several reasons why you are having issues accessing the pictures on your 2 external hard drives. To isolate the issue, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Have you tried using another USB cable on your external hard drives and see if you will still experience the same issue?
    • What other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Have you tried to connect your external hard drive to other computers beside your desktop PC and HP laptop?
