Windows 10: HP laptop gets hot when charging in sleep mode

my HP envy 360 which i bought brand new, sometimes gets hot when charging in sleep mode is it normal or should i do something because it is really worrying me off. all my power settings are normal and the pc is set to better battery mode

How can I get HP Sleep and Charge to work?

My laptop has a USB 3.1 Gen 1 (HP Sleep and Charge) port, but I don't seem to be able to get it to work. The connected device stops charging when I put my PC to sleep, or turn it off.

I have already tried the solutions presented here and here:

• Disabled "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power" from Device Manager for all USB controllers
  
• Disabled "USB selective suspend" from Power Options
  

There are no relevant settings in my BIOS. How can I get this feature to work? I am on the latest build of Windows 10.

 

HP Envy getting too hot to touch on sleep mode

I have a HP Envy x360, and I bought it in January 2020. For some reason, when I close my laptop and it goes to sleep, if I leave it for awhile, it doesn't wake back up. I have to hold the power button to turn it off, wait 5 seconds, then turn it back on
again. On top of that, if I leave it in sleep mode for too long, maybe 3-5 hours, the base becomes too hot to touch. It's like when you touch plastic that's been sitting outside in the sun on a hot summer day. I'm not exaggerating. Does anyone know what's
wrong?

What did you do with the Power Options and what exactly do you want ?

Do you want to put the computer to Sleep mode when you close the lid ?
If yes, go back to your Power Options > left side, click Choose what closing the lid does > right side, at When I close the lid, make sure you set it at Sleep > click Save changes when done.

If however, you want to computer to Shut down, which I don't think what is you are asking anyway, you will then click the pointer and select Shut down.
