Windows 10: HP Laptop “No booting device found”

A few days ago I attempted to reset my HP Laptop, due to some issues. When I tried to reset it, a message appeared saying “There was a problem resetting this PC”. I then went into the Windows Recovery Manager and attempted to uninstall and reinstall Windows 10. An error message then popped up saying there was an issue, so I clicked cancel. When I tried to turn my PC on, a message appeared that said there was no booting device found. Is there any way I can fix this? My laptop is a HP 15 Notebook.

The HP list can get more specific if you step backwards to HP Software and Driver Downloads for HP Laptops | HP® Customer Support and then enter your serial number instead of relying on the model number alone.

If the final list includes several versions of the same driver then you could usefully download the latest version in each case.

If you believe that your currently-installed drivers are correct then you can export them in an admin command window using this command -
[replace E:\DriverBackupFolders with the path to an existing folder on, say, an external HDD]

- And you can point to this folder again when you reinstall by opening Device manager & using the update driver routine for any devices that have warning icons on them - just select the option that you have the installation disk in each case and give that folder as its location.
- Personally, I use the latest drivers downloaded from the OEM and then just use the backups for cases that remain a problem.
- After that you could use the HP support assistant [which is on the HP list you linked to] to detect and obtain any drivers that are still a problem.

laptop doesnt boot automatically

This is what happened.

1. Did a repair install and later disabled hibertnate in CMD.
2. Enabled legacy option ROM in BIOS.
3. After a few times startup ( i used the system in such mode for 5 days), changed boot option back to default.
4. Vola!! It boots automatically to win10 without any keypress. Tested it with many starts to confirm the same.
5. Re-enabled hibernate option using CMD and later selected Fast Startup.
6. System booted normally, without the need for any keypress.

I do not know exactly whether such steps resolved the problem or what else happened, hence cannot suggest above steps.

Laptop not listed in Devices in Microsoft Account

Hi. When I log into my Microsoft account and check under Devices, I only see 3 out of 4 devices that I use with the account. Listed are two nokia windows phones running win 8.1 and 1 hp stream 11 laptop running windows 10.

My main hp-15 laptop running windows 10 is not listed.

I've tried the steps here:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/what-is-trusted-device

to make it a trusted device but it doesn't make my hp-15 laptop listed.
