    HP Laptop Poor Performance


    I have come into possession of an HP G62 laptop, probably 10 years old at least running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It has an AMD Athlon II P320 dual core processor 2.10 GHz with 3 GB RAM.I've removed everything non-essential and performance is still abysmal. Any program invocation can take several seconds to appear. Just wondering if there's anything I can try. I can't believe this performance was considered normal and acceptable when the machine was new. Having removed all the bloatware, I would expect it to be at least as responsive as when it came out of the box.

    Poor Performance..

    Ehh, well that didn't work...everything went well during the flash nothing went wrong, but no changes... Still low framerates...and poor performance...and other suggestions anybody?

    • What is your device and its specification?
    • Are you using multiple programs at the same time?
    • Is this happening to all programs you open?
    • Is this happening upon start up or just randomly?
    • What type of upgrade did you do to your PC?

    Performance laptop for school

    I am in need of a laptop for next year I don't do much gaming but want exceptional performance.

    Budget is 900 TOPS!

    Looking at hp laptops cus ive herd good things about them.
    Should I look at Dell or Toshiba instead?

    All suggestions are appreciated
