Windows 10: HP Laptop with Windows 10 Insider; update stuck in infinite loop.

Trying to update Windows 10 to the latest update. My laptop is now stuck in a loop. On POST, I get "Press escape for the startup menu" (I am dual booting Windows and Ubuntu Linux, with Windows as the default boot), then the hp logo and "Please Wait", after a couple seconds, another screen pops up for just a second, that says "Please wait while we install a system update". This is stuck in an infinite loop and it doesn't matter what I do. I am unable to (easily) remove my battery, as my case is closed with no access to the battery. Thank you for your time and assistance.

update stuck in infinite loop

My computer automatically updated to Windows 10 from 7. Ever since, anytime an update comes through, it gets stuck in an infinite loop. It appears that a HP printer update is failing, but I don't know if that's what's causing the loop. How can I eliminate
that update, to see if future updates will continue as they should?

Win10: Windows update is stuck at never ending loop ? ( Last Win10 updates in 2017 ). Can't update the laptop. Genuine Win10 on a HP 2015 17.3" laptop that originally had Win8. ( CPU:AMD A9, GPU:Radeon R5 ).

If I download this below file does it manually install the latest updates of Win10 (=2018 April Update) without losing any files currently on the machine ? ( Mainly paid Office 2013 )
