Windows 10: HP Model # P7 - 1010

Is my HP P7 - 1010 able to have windows 10 installed on it

If HP did not provide Windows 10 drivers for this model in the past, it's not likely that they will provide Windows 10 drivers now that the product is even older than it was when you first checked.

If you want to install Windows 10 in your computer, I suggest that you purchase a PCI Express x16 video card that is compatible with Windows 10, as suggested in the first link above.

 

HP Laserjet 1010 and Windows 10

I am trying to get my HP Laserjet 1010 printer working with my new Windows 10 desktop computer, but despite spending a lot of time on Google and unsuccessfully following up suggestions, I still cannot get it working. I know it can be done because I had
it working with my old Windows 10 laptop that broke and the new desktop replaced, but cannot remember how I did it.

I have tried using the HP software but it doesn't recognise the printer. I have tried installing the printer manually through Control Panel and although the computer recognises the printer, it lists it as 'Unspecified' and not as a printer. Any help and
suggestions will be welcome, please.

Deleting the shortcut for the removed printer program may resolve the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Press and hold Windows key + E to open File Explorer.
  
• Go to the path location:
  • C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
    
• Locate Monitor Ink Alerts - HP Deskjet 1010 series.lnk.
  
• Delete the shortcut and reboot your computer.
