Windows 10: HP OMEN left click in touchpad slowly stopped working back in june /july after a windows update

i have tried re- registering windows and scf scan in BIOS, it started working after this but next day wasnt working and the fix didnt work again. i tried updating drivers, trying other drivers, ive checked and unchecked every setting for touchpad and i have reset windows with option to take personal files off but it still had the screensaver i had before and some other bits on there.i keep checking online everyday and many others have got the same issue but with no fix yet.

has anyone got any idea what i could try to fix it, my laptop is HP OMEN about 3 years old, w250na gaming laptop i7 gtx1070. will windows bring out an update to fix this or am i screwed ?

Touch screen on HP Omen stopped working after update

I just got the Windows 10 x64 update to build 1511 on my HP Omen 15, and the touchscreen stopped working. The system info says "no pen or touch input is available".

I looked in the device manager and nothing is indicated as broken, but none of the HID entries are named as a touch screen.

I tried updating the Intel drivers, but that didn't change anything.
