Windows 10: HP Pavilion 15-dw i3 10th gen laptop sound and audio jack stopped working

I had to take the laptop apart for something and when I put it back together I noticed that the sound was gone along with the audio jack. The computer doesn't recognize either that they're plugged in, like they don't exist so the advice to unmute them, turn them up doesn't work. I have windows 11 fully updated but I tried it with a win 10 SSD and it didn't fix the problem. Also, I replaced both, no fix. Uninstalled and reinstalled the sound drivers in the device manager, nothing. I really don't know where to go from here. Also, the Audio jack is in a separate little panel attached to the main

HP pavilion beats sound problems

I recently purchased an HP pavilion 15 and i have no audio from the speakers at all. Note: i have already uninstalled and reinstalled the audio drivers and i do have bluetooth and headphone jack audio.

 

Computer's Audio Jacks Stopped Working

The audio jacks stopped working and it is not a hardware problem.

1. Multiple headsets do not get audio output from both of the audio jacks on the computer and the headsets are confirmed to be working, so it's the computer's problem.
2. The audio output through a DisplayPort monitor's audio jack and monitors' speakers still work, so the computer can still produce audio. The monitor's audio jack is not an option.
3. Both audio jacks stopped working at the same time despite only one being in use, so it's not hardware.

What is the problem and what is the solution?

 

Combo audio jack on an HP Pavilion laptop

I'm using a larger display (HDMI) with my laptop. The sound comes through the display speakers which are not the greatest. Is it possible to us an external set of powered speakers via the audio jack for better sound quality with the HDMI cable plugged
in, i.e. video via HDMI and audio via the combo jack? I have been unable to make this combination function.
