Windows 10: HP Pavilion 15 gaming laptop power LED lights up for a few seconds but laptop won't turn on

Hello.My laptop was working perfectly the night before. This morning, it just won't turn on.Everytime I press the power button, its LED lights up for about 5 seconds and turns off. The laptop itself doesn't come on no fans, screen stays black, keyboard backlight stays off, etc.When plugged in, the charge indicator LED lights up. It's fully charged now the LED's white. I've tried everything. I've unplugged all peripherals, removed the battery and pressed the power button for 30s - 2 minutes at least thrice. I've tried turning it on with just the charger. I've inspected the RAM stick for dus

Laptop won't Turn On

Where the jack gets plugged in the laptop, there's a single LED that turns blue, a few seconds later it just stays solid red.

EDIT: When the battery is removed and the laptop is plugged into the wall, the LED stays blue

 

HP Pavilion 15 randomly shuts down incorrectly if fast startup enabled

I've just updated an HP Pavilion 15 from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 (Home 64 bit). If fast startup is enabled, the laptop freezes at the very least step of the shutting down process. The shutting down process goes like this:

1. First you click on shut down
2. The shut down screen appears
3. The screen turns off and then the fan starts to spin at high speed
4. After 4-5 seconds, the fan stops
5. The laptop is completely turned off, no lights are turned on (in most of PC's)

Well, my problem is that randomly, the Pavilion 15 freezes after step 4 has been completed, with the light of the ON/OFF button turned on forever. Sometimes it turns off correctly, but many other times this happens. If I disable the fast startup, this won't happen and it will always turn off correctly.

What can I do?
How is it that it's random?

I've tested this with no apps running on background, so that can't be the reason, besides, no apps or programs can freeze the system after the step 4 has been completed, since they are all shut down after step 1.

Also, the fast startup option was activated when I was using Windows 8.1 and never had a single problem with this laptop.

 

laptop won't turn on

Dell Latitude D800

few hours ago i turned the laptop off by going to start menu, shut down, on an xp machine. the computer shut down normally but now when i try to turn it back on, nothing happens for a good 30 seconds then the HDD lights and power lights come on for a few seconds then turn off.

it's weird becasue, from what i have seen, the lights usually come on right away then turn right off (in similar situations) but this thing doesn't even try to turn on for a bit. What could be wrong?

things i have tried:
-removed RAM, battery, wireless card, HDD... nothing happens
-held power button for 10 seconds with battery in and out of machine while and while nt plugged in
-Different power adapters

i am going to check the cmos battery but if anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated.
