Windows 10: HP Pavilion Laptop 15: New Laptop Battery Drainage?

Hello all, Just to give a bit background info regarding this laptop, I got it back in December of 2021 so it has been about 2 months owning this laptop now. This laptop is HP Pavilion Laptop 15.I rarely use it as well, only a couple of times.I would say about 2-3 times in almost a month, so it is still newHowever, I am not sure if I am just overthinking this too much but, Given that it is still new, is it normal if my battery is going down about 30% in a span of 2 hours? so, it would decrease from 85% to 69% in 57 minutes Which I would have to start preparing myself to charge my laptop in th

Windows 10 - Laptop battery drainage while shutdown and unpluged


I upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10 recently. The laptop battery is now draining 20% overnight when the laptop is shutdown and unplugged. With Windows 7 the battery drainage was negligible (even over a week). The laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad Type 1143-3FU. The Thinkpad has a red light which glows while on. After shutdown it now flashes a few times after shutdown before stopping (rather than just going out) which indicates to me that something is still running, but I do not know what. The laptop battery is good. The computer does not appear to be hibernating because when I start the computer it shows the Lenovo screen first thing. Any suggestions?

 

Pavilion Laptop with CPU error code

It may be silly of me but try the next few things :

• See if ram stick are properly seated
• Try to check did you seated your cpu properly
• See if all of the cables lie down ok in their slots
• Check for excesive paste on the CPU socket
• Try a hard reset of laptop by removing the cmos battery out for 15 minutes
• Remove your HDD and try to start the laptop

I hope this will help you a bit. Had a HP Pavilion on a maintenance check a while ago and either you believe it or not he didn't want to start because of a bad hard drive and gave me signal that the CPU was faulty.

New HP Pavilion laptop

Its a Virgin media superhub I got,And no other devices in household had ever problems with connection,only that new laptop(I did buy wifi adapter,because I couldnt solve the problem myself and it works perfect.
