Windows 10: HP Pavillion Laptop showing black screen

Hello, my mum recently gave me her HP Pavillion laptop because it was showing a black screen when turned on, It turns on when connected to AC, the HDD spins up, but nothing shows on the screen, its like that screen you get when you turn on your computer and windows has not loaded the boot menu yet so it shows that like black screen but with a bit of brightness , Please can someone give me a bit of help, I Dont know the model number but im getting a suspicion that it is a HP Pavillion 15-n200

HP Pavillion DV4 Laptop Needs Screen Cable...

Have a HP Pavillion DV4 Laptop, screen started to go whacky about a year ago, but wiggling the cover would fix it, over time got worse to the point it completely stopped working.

I took the unit apart, put it back together and WHAM, it was working fine... until I moved the screen and it started to go haywire again, lines, a semi blank white screen, etc. External monitor works fine.

The screen is a complete b*tch to work on, and I suspect it's a damaged cable. There's a cable bundle (it's not a ribbon) that winds around the lid hinge - I think it's frayed.

Nice laptop, can handle most games and loaded with features. Would like to fix it. Anyone have experience with an HP laptop?

 

Win10/HP Pavillion - PIN "unavailable"

Using Win10 on an HP Pavillion Gaming Laptop

PIN went away. Now when I go into create a PIN I get "Something went wrong. Try again later". The step prior is: Start.>Settings>Accounts>Sign in Options>Windows Hello PIN and it reads "This options is currently unavailable - click to learn more". I
followed the steps suggested, but they don't work

Suggestions?.

 

Screen flickering in HP pavillion laptop

I have an HP Pavillion laptop but I have an issue regarding screen flickering from a few days ago. the display doesn't flicker at a certain brightness. if I change the brightness level screen start to flicker on battery mode if it is connected to the AC
power supply it doesn't flicker. I have tried many options like updating drivers and others it is not a window issue because I used dual-booted pc ubuntu and windows 10. On both the OS i faced the same problem. please give me a suggestion as i have frustrated
from the problem
