    HP Pavillion Notebook slow under charging


    My pc slows down and lags when watching videos/gaming under charge since I've owned it for 3 years. I've tried changing the processor figures from 100% to 99/98% but still no difference. I'm not sure why it happens and I can't seem to find anything to fix it online.

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    I see that your laptop’s battery is not charging. We would like to know, if you get a message stating plugged in not charging when hovering the mouse over the battery icon.



    If you see the message plugged in not charging, I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps:



    1. Press Windows Logo key + X, and select
      Device Manager.
    2. Expand Battery.
    3. Right click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, and select
      Uninstall.
    4. Click OK to confirm.
    5. Restart the computer.

    Uninstall what APP? HP Pavillion Notebook or BIOS

    Where do I find them

    This is very vague and confusing

    Hp Pavillion Notebook upgrades

    Hi, i have a friend with a Hp notebook and is wondering if he should look into upgrading his laptop or buying a new one, i dont know much about laptop upgrading and cant seem to find anywhere to look for cpu compatibly and whatnot. The laptop is a couple years old. He does some light gaming if that info is necessary.

    Specs:
    Model: Hp Pavillion Dv7-1245dx
    OS: Windows 7
    Cpu: AMD Turion x2 Dual Core Mobile RM-72 ~ 2.1 GHz
    Memory: 4GB, not sure what kind but he upgraded it so that shouldn't be a problem
    VGA: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
