    Scanner activation HP Photosmart 5520

    My HP Photosmart 5520 e-all in one printer has always worked well in the print function but I cannot get my scanner to operate. Been trying all day but it still says not found. I'm not very computer savvy so could somebody help me please. Have selected
    computer on the printer scanner control panel but not having any luck linking up via the computer control panel.

    Kindly follow these steps.

    Get the complete driver for scanner and printer from:

    For activating scanner:

    1. Search Windows for your printer model name, and click the printer name in the list of results, HP Printer Assistant opens.

    2. Click Scanner Actions, and then click Manage Scan to Computer.

    3. Click Enable to activate the scan to computer option.

    4. Click the box next to

    Automatically Start Scan to Computer when I log into Windows to enable automatic activation of the Scan to Computer connection.

    HP photosmart 5520 all in one Printner

    Build 10162 and 10166. When I do updates I get a update for HP 5520 will not install I get errors retry.
    This problem started with 10162 build,clean install no help. Any ideas ?
