    I do not have any HP printer software installed of any kind. I do not own or use HP hardware. Yet this update attempt under Windows Update is persistent for months and it's not clear how I can stop this update from repeatedly trying to download. HP - Printer - 20.80.3.9568Install error - 0x800f020bHow do I STOP this update from attempting? I browsed C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore and found some folders that start with "hp" but I am not sure if I should be tampering with these.

    Old printer installation gives Status:Error

    Denis - I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean by: " I suggest you click on your Start menu's HP group..."

    However, I carried out your steps 2 and 3 and removed the printer then restarted the PC and the printer returned so nothing achieved. Could you please elaborate on step 1, thanks.
