Windows 10: HP Printer "Out of Paper" does not update with MS IPP Class Driver

Hi,Running Windows 10 and have a wireless attached HP M255dw printer. The printer driver for this printer is the MS IPP Class Driver. In general, the printer and system work together fine.But ... If a print job encounters an out of paper condition, Windows correctly suspends the print queue. Opening the control panel for "Devices and Printers', and opening this printer correctly shows on the title bar the printer device name and "Out of Paper" state. Reloading the printer's paper tray makes the printer happy, but the printer driver does not see that the printer state has changed. Power cycling

MS-IPP Class Driver missing

Hi there,

I have two Windows 10 (21H2) computers I wish to connect to a CUPS network printer. However, when I try and connect via IPP, there is no option for the MS-IPP class driver. If I look in DriverStore, INF files for the driver seem to be present under prnms012, but using "Have Disk" to point directly at this file returns a blank list of available drivers. I would really like to use this driver. Any ideas why it doesn't show up?

Thanks for getting back to me! Unfortunately, I tried the solutions suggested, but none caused the MS-IPP class driver to become installed. If there were any more things I could try that would be great. Thanks again

 

Microsoft IPP Class Driver-will not allow my printer to print in color

Hello,

I realized that my printer which is a Brother MFC_J995DW Printer, no longer prints in color and does not give that option when the print screen comes up.

Apparently the model: Microsoft IPP Class Driver features are no color and only offers grayscale and monochrome. I would like to either uninstall this Microsoft IPP Class Driver or somehow go back to my old settings. I really need the option to print in color.

I have already updated my printer's driver, which they gave me this: Microsoft IPP Class Driver
