Windows 10: HP Printers Constantly Going Offline After Windows Update

I am leaning towards this being a recent Windows update issue since Windows is now frequently identifying any of my HP printers as "offline" even when the HP Smart App is still able to see them. Specifically, I go to print, nothing happens, but opening the printer's queue shows the printer as "offline." Attempting to restart the queue does not help. Printing again only adds more failed documents to the queue. Restarting Windows will sometimes automatically produce the prints after the restart.This issue happens with any of my HP printers Officejet 8620, 8720 and LaserJe

I suggest you to follow the below given methods and see if that helps.

Method 1:

I suggest you try
changing the printer’s status from “offline” to “online” and check if it resolves the issue.

Method 2:


If the issue persists, I would have you download and run the HP Scan doctor from the manufacturers website. Refer to the article and follow the suggestion on

Method 3:

Step 1: I suggest you download and run the
