    HP ProBook 430 G5 Windows 11 24H2 update leaves my PC pausing display ever so often


    I turned back to 23H2 wich seems to work nicely.Is the a issue with Graphics drivers from HP/Intel UHD Graphics 620?Using HP lastest BIOS Q85 ver 01.30.00Having completed the Upgrade without errors my laptop suddenly seems to freeze for seconds before responing with expected responses. This occures ever so often, which leads to an unusable laptop.Hence the rollback to 23H2.

    HP ProBook 430 G5 i7-8550U 1.80GHz

    I bought a ProBook 450 G6 four years ago which has been fine. You get Windows Pro, better support and claimed better build quality with the Pro version. I would remove most of the HP bloatware though.

    i'm looking at this pc the HP ProBook 430 G5 i7-8550U 1.80GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 8 MB cache 4 cores is this going to be be a good pc and do you think it will be one that can be supported for more that a couple of years down the road? it has win11 on it and they said they installed from the pc. but as win12 or 13 or whatever happens along do you believe it will be able to be supported? or might i look for a newer unit? this one looks to be a 2018 model. thanks

    HP ProBook 430 G5 i7-8550U 1.80GHz

    A i7 with 8G memory and a SSD is always a good machine. It is a 8th gen CPU. Intel is now on the 14th gen (Raptor Lake Refresh).
    Good for what tasks? A Web browser computer is very different from a gaming computer.
    Nobody knows what will be the hardware restrictions to be able to run Win 12
