    HP RC6 IR Remote Driver Help


    Hey, I have an HP Pavilion running windows 8.1 with windows media center and my remote for my laptop is not working with windows media center since I upgraded from Vista to 8.1. I need a driver for it I have searched all over the internet. Even the sketchy sites to try and find it. But none of them help. Either they did have it but its so old you can't download it or its just a place to download every virus imaginable. Long story short I though I would ask here to see if anyone might have the driver.Thanks!

    • Is your computer connected to a domain network?
    HP Connected Remote is an app that comes preinstalled on select Windows HP computers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves this issue.

    • On the Windows 10 Start screen, type hp connected remote.
    • Click HP Connected Remote from the Apps search results.
    • Click Settings, and make sure Enable HP Connected Remote is turned On.

    Windows Media Center IR Remote on Windows Vista Ultimate

    No, I havent purchased the Windows Media Center IR Remote yet. But the Remote comes with the IR Receiver at the place where I'm going to purchase it from.

    So, I just want to confirm this, I can switch from my Cable TV to my PC Desktop with the Media Center IR Remote on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit if my cable box is connected to my monitor via composite connector and my monitor to my PC via DVI-D connector?
