Windows 10: HP Spectre, Windows 11; Find My device and Location does not work

Doing a security check on my laptop after I recently updated to Windows 11, I checked the find my Microsoft Account devices to find that this laptop was marked up still with Windows 10, v2009 and that "Location is Disabled", so Find my Device does not work.Location is NOT disabled, it is very much "On" in the Privacy Settings and also when I view Google Maps on both Chrome and Edge it shows my correct precise location on the map. It does NOT show my precise location when using Bing Maps - just my general area.When I do a "Browser Geolocation" using mylocation.org on Edge and Chrome it comes

HP x360 Spectre Windows Hello No Longer Working

Thanks for the suggestion. For reference (for people coming after me trying to find a solution), the steps Lee is suggesting are as follows:

• Device Security > Security Processor Details > Security Processor Troubleshooting > Clear TPM

Appreciate the help, Lee, but resetting the TPM using the process above didn't work. All it did was make me reset my PIN and sign in again via my Microsoft account. As I mentioned in my initial post, I have an HP Spectre
x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx, so I've been using the drivers found here:

Also as I mentioned, the latest drivers are installed - that's always my first go-to solution (other than turning it off and on again! ).

Any other suggestions?

This might have occurred due to incompatible\ corrupted driver.

Let us try the following steps, and check if it helps.



Step 1: Run the Hardware and Devices
troubleshooter.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

Step 2: Let us try to download and install the latest chipset driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.



A chipset driver is a type of driver that refers to what is needed for a computer operating system to work with and recognize the devices connected to the computer.
