Windows 10: HP StreamWindows 10 (in S mode) prints with black background and white text on Brother...

Please help. I can't get any document to print correctly with new laptop. Every document I print out prints with a black background and white text (instead of white background and black text).


I contacted HP and told me to contact Brother. Brother suggested I print on Google Cloud Print, but I am unable to download this as this is not available at the Microsoft store to download because I'm in S mode. And being in S mode means I can only download from the Microsoft store.

Need to print a list in black & white


I need software that will let me print and invert in black & white.

At the bottom of the page is a list I need to print out.
1) I need this in black & white.
2) I need to invert this so I get black letters against a white background.

I can print this with white letters against a black background (in monochrome), but i'll use up too much black ink. What I want to do is invert the colors so that I get regular black letters against a white background.

Any have any ideas?

I restarted, unfortunately it didn't help the Cortana issue. Dark mode didn't fix it either. I did get a new clue though. If I mark something on the list as completed, the text appears.





So it seems to be a font issue - as the completed item uses the strikethru font, which displays normally. I feel like the regular list is somehow set to a white font.

G'day all.

I have two instances of having white text on white backgrounds. I use start10 by Stardock, and on its menus, items currently highlighted are showing white text on a white background. Other (non-highlighted) items display correctly.

I also noticed this same thing when Cortana displays something like my shopping list. If i ask her to display my shopping list, she does, and i can see the checkboxes, but the actual text of the list is not visible.

I sense this has something to do with system level font/color settings, but I can't find where this is controlled in Win10.
