    HP USB X796w Backup Location Problem


    I have a USB pendrive named x796w which is of 128GBWith USB 3.2, I have purchased it so that I could create a system image in it, bu when I go to Backup and RestoreWindows 7 and click on "create system image" option then I do not get my pendrive listed in that menu, all other Drives and Partitions are showing up but my pendrive is not listed. Please Help.

    Then you will see a list on the left. This is where you can access your flash drive.

    If not listed maybe the USB port is not functioning?

    How to set a Backup location (Windows XP)?

    Hi Greg - It is Windows 7.

    The problem is when I attach an external hard drive to use as a backup the device does not come up as a possible backup (if I go through the steps to choose a backup). Nor is it listed as a folder in the Libraries window to drag files into.

    I have gone through via Windows help all steps, and yet the drive is still not appearing as a possible Backup location.

    (It is listed in Devices).

    If you can explain to me how to set this external hard drive up as a backup I'd be grateful!

    Did the first step. It already doesn't work. Note the capacities and drive letters M:/N: The HP utility is about to format my raid-1 volume containing my 2 750gb drives. It thinks it's the usb stick. I can not select any other drives in the HP utility. My 512mb usb stick is U:.

    Any other suggestions?
