Windows 10: HP250 G5 Brightness not working

I don't know what happened but The brightness button is not working on F2 and F3.


The brightness option had also disappeared when I type it in manually on windows. Usually the brightness navigation on on power plan section but that also had dissappeared. My PC in on max brightness for a long time now. It's hurting my eyes.


I brought it to a technician and they couldn't fix it. The PC was fully updated and the issue is still not resolve.



I've attach a photo where the brightness option has disappeared.

On my Dell 5559 Windows 10 , brightness not working.

Have tried few steps from youtube videos but did not work.

Please guide.

Hi Ella,

To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

• Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
• See if you can adjust the brightness.

If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.
