Windows 10: HRBlock 1152 extracting during install does not use temp it uses ProgramData Taxcut [2021]

don't expect clearing the temp folder to fix 1152 errors as hrblock install extracts to the folder c:\ProgramData\Taxcut\[taxyear] eg 2021 etc.

I keep getting "1152 Error" code when attempting to install 2029 HR block state program on Win 10. How can I fix??

Press and hold down the Windows key + E to open Computer.

Double-click the C:\ drive.

Double-click Users.

Double-click on the username the client is using.

Double-click the AppData folder. This folder might be hidden. If you can’t see it:

Click the View tab at the top of the window.

Check the box for Hidden Items.

In the Local folder, double-click the Temp folder.

Highlight files found in the Temp folder, then press Delete.

Extracting Zip Files


Are the step-by-step processes identical? That is, the folder extracted from and the folder extracted to belong to the same hierarchical file system structure. If they are, that suggests mildly the Cumulative Update left an electron or two out of place.

Thanks pyramid10 for your contribution, I ensured that the steps taken and the source and destination folders were the same, in the using zip7 as suggested by BunnyJ resolved all issues for me.
I am the first to admit that I am a long long way from understanding the intricacies of computers and if truth be told I am now to old anyway to absorb much information.
