Huge increase in tracking cookies caused by Win10

My SUPERAntispyware (free) seems to do a better job than Norton at blocking tracking cookies.
It blocked 7 or 8 a day on average on my Win7. It's just stopped 257 that have arrived in the past TWO days on my new Win10. Nearly everyone had the name Microsoft in its title.

So may I ask you guys two questions?
    (1) Should I just accept that this is now the normal way of life and not get angry with Microsoft for the intrusions?
    (2) Does Windows Defenders block tracking cookies? Being cynical, is it programmed to let through all those with Microsoft in its name?

    I use IE11 - not Edge

Is Windows 10 to blame for the tenfold increase in Tracking Cookies?

I haven't run the SUPERAntiSpyware scan on my new Win10 PC for 9 days having been too busy trying to sort out Win10 issues (even on my NEW PC, not my Free Upgraded Win7 > Win10 PC).

In those 9 days, SAS has stopped 641 Adware.Tracking Cookies - that's 71 per day. On my Win7, it stopped 7/8 a day.

    Two questions:

    1. What is it about Win10 that has attracted 10 times more Tracking Cookies?

    2. How many Microsoft programs/Apps are causing them?

Cookies come from web sites, not from Windows.

What is the location of the cookies?

    Are you blocking third-party cookies?

Are you using tracking protection in IE?

Windows Defender does not block cookies

I've just scanned again, 19 hours after the previous scan. It found 26 cookies per the following list. Do I owe Microsoft an apology i.e. does Microsoft appear in every one just because it's a Microsoft OS?

  7. They're cookies from web browsing.

You can block third-party cookies with your browser settings of all browsers.

I did that in IE11, which is the only one that I use but still they come! Just had a thought - I don't use edge so it can't be Edge can it?

I may have found the answer. I had a brainwave early this morning - must have been the cheese. I'd set up IE11 as my preferred browser but I didn't uninstall Edge. When I click on the Start Menu I see the weather, finance and news items constantly updating so wondered if they came via Edge.

I opened Edge, bypassed the set-up, went to Settings and eventually found that the Default for cookies was 'don't block'. I've changed it to Block All and I bet that the next time I check, there'll be far fewer cookies picked up.

I hadn't picked up your helpful advice at that time, Tairiku, so thanks again for that.

One final question: is there any way for me to tell which browser these annoying beggars come from?
