  2. Huge Keyboard Input Delay

    Hello Sauro09

It sounds like your keyboard has huge input lag and there's a problem with changing the keyboard or the on-screen keyboard.

s there any lag or unsmoothness other than the input method?

Are you using a mechanical hard drive? If many operations are not smooth, it may be a hardware performance issue.

    Here are some solutions:

    1. System File Checker (SFC):

Use the System File Checker tool to repair lost or corrupted system files.

using the following commands (run the command prompt as administrator (logo key "Win" + "Q", type "cmd", select "Run as administrator") and type the following commands one by one).

    2. You can create a new local account by following the steps below and switch to the newly created account to see if the function is normal. Because this cannot be ruled out due to the wrong configuration. Visit Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support for more details.
      1. Create a local user account
      2. Select Start > Settings > Accounts and then select Family & other users. (In some versions of Windows you'll see Other users.)
      3. Next to Add other user, select Add account.
      4. Select I don't have this person's sign-in information, and on the next page, select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
      5. Enter a username, password, or password hint—or choose security questions—and then select Next.
      1. Change a local user account to an administrator account
      2. Select Start > Settings > Accounts.
      3. Under Family & other users, select the account owner name (you should see "Local account" below the name), then select Change account type.
      4. Note: If you choose an account that shows an email address or doesn't say "Local account", then you're giving administrator permissions to a Microsoft account, not a local account.
      5. Under Account type, select Administrator, and then select OK.
      6. Sign in with the new administrator account.
Note: If the new account is normal, please do not delete the old account before backing up the data of the old account to avoid any data loss.

    3. Since you changed the registry, you can perform an in-place upgrade. Most likely, this will solve it.

Disclaimer: Let's try to perform a local install or local update that updates the Windows files and operating system without deleting files or applications. That said, we always recommend that if you have important data, you back it up before making any major changes to the system. If you want to back up your data first, do so. Once you're done backing up, you can follow the steps in the following guides:

We look forward to hearing back from you.

    Input delay problem

My computer that I recently bought has a problem with the keys having a huge input delay sometimes. My keyboard works just fine whenever I'm on a browser but sometimes the input lag is major whenever I'm playing games. This also happens with external keyboards. My computer model is MSI Cyborg 15 A13VE.

Method 2: Adjust Filter Keys Setting If it is enabled, it may slow down the input of brief or repeated keys and also may not notice the keystrokes that happen continuously. So, turning it off may fix the issue of keyboard input lag. Head to Settings > Ease of Access. Click Keyboard and turn off the Filter Keys feature.
