Windows 10: hybernate and powerbutton desktop

After hybernate and i push on the powerbutton of the desktop he not going top power down. The powerbutton give no reaction

If your connecting to your computer via remote desktop and would love to be able to hybernate,shutdown etc.

Simple fix !

On your desktop press alt f4 same time will give you options to reboot,shutdown,sleep etc...

 

Computer goed to sleep, but waking up shows a fresh restart.

I found a workaround and that is, instead of letting the laptop go to sleep, I changed the settings into hybernation. This works very well. It hybernates, and wakes from hybernation perfectly. Still, the sleep thing is not as it should and should be solved.

 

What make and model of desktop is it?

 

Turn your PC off via the switch in the back, then press and hold the power on button for a few moments. Restart and then stop using Hibernation, sleep mode is just as good and it does not use up memory.

Without knowing the make, or at least the make of the case and power supply we can only guess.

You problem is that when you hibernate the power supply doesn't turn off? And pressing the power button won't turn it off either? Usually hibernating should automatically tell the power to turn off. What happens if you Shut Down instead of Hibernate?

Are you sure you are using Hibernate and not Sleep? Sleep does need to keep the power on, but only uses minimal power.

If you are sure you have chosen Hibernate, then pressing and holding the power button for 30 seconds or so should force the power to turn off.
