Are windows 10 basic have hyper-v?

Now, i am using windows 8.1 Basic and i want to upgrade to windows 10.

Are windows 10 Basic support hyper-v?And if it is doesn't , there is other way to using/enable hyper-v for my windows basic?I need hyper-v to run the emulator.

[solved] Win10 reboot loop and blue screen with "memory management" error after I installed Docker and enabled Hyper-v

Following Methods I try:

1. Dism /Online /Disable-Feature:Microsoft-Hyper-V //not help

Method 4 can boot to the system by "Windows10 no Hyper-V" option, but how can I boot with default option ?

@Kari, I just installed a Hyper V win 10 OS in my 8.1. Can I attend the session to learn more, even though I'm running it in 8.1?

 

Yes, of course. The Hyper-V in consumer versions of Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10, both Pro and Enterprise editions is the same and functions in the same way.

For those not familiar with Skype for Business (former Lync) Online Meetings, here's a quick guide:

1. Click the meeting link (it will be posted in this thread on the day of the meeting)

2. If you have Skype for Business (Lync) desktop installed and you want to use your organisational Lync Account, simply click Launch Application if the dialog is presented. It will only be presented if Skype for Business (Lync) is installed. Please notice that in this case your real name (name you use for the organisational account) will be shown, along with the avatar and the contact details you have set to be shared

3. If you have no Lync account from your organization or would for any reason rather use the Lync Web App, click Do Nothing and click Join Using Lync Web App instead. Using the web app option let's you use any name you want to. IF you are a Ten Forums member please use your forum username:




4. Install the Lync Web App plug-in for your browser (screenshots from Chrome), it takes a few seconds, and when done click Join the meeting:




5. Launch the Lync Web App




6. Give any name, would be nice if you used your Ten Forums username and click Join the meeting




7. If you want to hear me and possibly talk by yourself, select Using my computer in Join Meeting Audio dialog (#1 in screenshot below). Open the Chat window (#2) and list of participants (#3)




8. You are done, takes less than a minute.

Looks complicated, is really easy *Smile. I will put the meeting online two hours before the start time for you to test the connectivity. Please notice that the audio works best using Internet Explorer, Spartan, Chrome or Opera browsers. Latest versions of Firefox and Maxthon might have issues in getting the audio stream.

What a pita. So I'm trying to install Windows 7 in Hyper-V. Installs but will not activate. I tried to get another ISO from Softwaredownload it refuses my key. I contact MS, and they tell me yes my key is a valid retail key, and this is the first time they have seen this error. I left my contact info as it is being elevated to tier 2 support now.
