    Hyper-V Boot Loop with Xeon Silver CPU


    Hi,I experience boot loop issue when I activate VMX in BIOS and enable Hyper-V on Windows. I have tried it on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 with the latest update but problem still continues. The only way I can access Windows is disabling VMX on BIOS. "systeminfo.exe" shows that I have all requirements of Hyper-V all yes.What should I do? Do you know VMX related MSR CPU register values so that I can check? Or is there something else wrong?Thanks,

    Hyper-V causing boot loop in Windows 10 Pro x64

    It appears that insider build 10547 has corrected the hyper-v boot loop issue in windows 10 x64. Running systeminfo.exe inside an admin command prompt shows that (you can find statement next to "Hyper-V Requirements:" shown at the bottom of the list) "A
    hypervisor has been detected. Features required for Hyper-V will not be displayed." (Which means Hyper-V is now working). Downloading emulators now for windows phone for Visual Studio 2015 to see if they work. Will update later today...

    Hyper-V causing boot loop in Windows 10 Pro x64

    Confirmed! Build 10547-Current (10586) completely resolved Hyper-V enabled boot loop problem. I've been up and running for more than 1 month on Win 10 Pro Build 10586 with Hyper-V "enabled" and 7 running instances. Hyper-V Boot Loop with Xeon Silver CPU :)

    Firmware update or hyper-v causes automatic repair loop everytime

    Microsoft does not upgrade BIOS firmware you have to install the BIOS firmware from your computer manufacturer website.

    Use the following steps to enable Hyper-V on Windows 10:

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Click on Programs.
    • Click on Turn Windows features on or off.
    • Check the Hyper-V option making sure: Hyper-V Management Tools and Hyper-V Platform are also selected.
    • Click OK to begin the process.
