Windows 10: Hyper-V "Default Switch" No Internet with Security Baseline

Hi,I am managing devices with Intune and doing testing of the Microsoft Security Baseline being applied to Windows 10 devices. Functionality has been fine with the Security Baseline except for Virtual Machines running in Hyper-V and using the "Default Switch" do not get internet access. When I stop assigning the Security Baseline, internet access is restored to the VM's. I just can't figure out what setting breaks this functionality. Any ideas of settings to try to correct this issue? I want to keep the Security Baseline AND I wanted to also just be able to utilise the "Default Switch".Thanks

Windows 10 x64 v1809 - Hyper-V Virtual Switch Manager Unable to Create Default Switch

This is did not resolve the issue of the Virtual Switch Manger being unable to create the Default Switch that is supposed to exist in Hyper-V.

Although I did try the suggested procedure, it si my understanding this fix is intended for addressing problems with user created switches, not the Hyper-V "Default Switch".

After upgrading to v1809 from v1803, I turned Hyper-V feature Off then On.

Since the upgrade, the Default Switch no longer exists and the Virtual Switch Manager is unable to crate it automatically as it would normally. I can see the Default Switch appear for a few seconds in the Network Adapters, then its gone. This happens
several time whenever I launch the Virtual Switch Manager.

I can create other virtual switches.

Once the Virtual Switch Manager lists the Default Switch with a Load Failed message.

I have used netcfg -d command to delete all adapters and Turned Hyper-V feature Off/On several times with no success.

As you had this issue in 1909 before updating to 2004 then it is unlikely 2004 is the issue here.

One thing you might try is to go into 'Turn Windows features on or off' and remove Hyper-V then, after the required restart, go back in and turn it back on again.

This will reinstall Hyper-V and create a new Default Switch. All your VMs will still be there after doing so, but if you had set up your own virtual switch then you'll need to recreate it and reconnect any VMs that were using it. Any VM using the Default Switch should not need any settings changing though.
