Windows 10: Hyper-V issue with Enhanced Session - Working only on Local Account

I have installed a W11 machine. I have 2 users: local administrator - microsoft account administrator rightsIf I select Enhanced Session only the Local Administrator is able to logon on. I do not have a logon screen where I can select the userIf I disable it I get into the Microsoft account session and I can get to select the user on logon screenIf I add a microsoft account to the local administrator is not able to use enhanced session anymore. As soon as I remove it... it works againis very very very weirdany solution?obvioulsy I want the enhanced session to work in any case

How to force enhanced session mode on Hyper V

Before posting, i read from learn.microsoft about Hyper-V, i have also read most of "Introduction to Hyper-V on Windows 10" pdf as well.

However i am missing something..

The thing goes like this:

I have a Win10 Pro desktop. and want to use Hyper-V to install linux OS.

From the Hyper-V Manager, under the Hyper-V settings, the enhanced session mode and the enhanced session policy are activated.

Moreover, the remote desktop is also enabled.

As far as i know the prerequisites from the Microsoft/Hyper-V side are all checked.

However this is not the case as in the VM (when the linux OS is already installed and running) i cannot see the USB devices that are connected to the host (Mouse, keyboard and internet connection are working however).

In the begining i though it was the linux OS fault and thus i tried 3 different distributions. the results however were the same, local resources could not be used.

I was running Hyper-V in basic mode.

On top of that, i noticed that in the VMconnect window (in all my tries) the enhanced session under the View tab was greyed out.

Thus now i'm thinking maybe the fault is on the Hyper V side.

Can anyone help me out please.

Is there more information that i can give you so that you can help me out?

Hyper-V in Windows 10 1709 FCU, enhanced session not working?

I have a fresh install of Windows 10 1709 Education N, and using the same image I made a Gen2 VM in Hyper-V.
I thought something was off and then I noticed that enhanced mode wasn't on at all, and it is greyed out in the menu. It is enabled in Hyper-V settings. I only found results about enhanced session crashing (in FCU), but mine's not on at all.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue, or is it perhaps working for you guys?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...with-vmconnect I have went through this guide, and I am not presented with any extra connect options with vmconnect. It just goes straight to the VM.

In previous versions of Windows 10 (Edu N 1703), with the same exact steps that I've done here (same image for host + guest), enhanced mode worked right out of the box, no extra fiddling.
