    HYPER-V - Security Issues/Reasons for NOT cloning a Linux VM Server


    I am currently running a production LINUX VM server and need to etsablish a Test server of the production Server.Logically, cloning would be Ideal, The server would be identical for testing and develeopment as well as applying OS/Software upgrades with the same or reasonably the same outcome from upgrades for both test first then production. However they want to build the test server from scratch an some of the installs were were not an easy process. I am being told I.T. will not clone a VM because of security issues and I am unable to get any detail inforamtion for this descision just 'Secur
