Discus and support Hyper-v, V M windows 8.1. Can't RDC to Win 8.1 from Win 10 in Windows 10 Virtualization to solve the problem; Hyper-v, V M windows 8.1. Can't RDC to Win 8.1 from Win 10.     Hyper-v, V M windows 8.1. Can't RDC to Win 8.1 from Win 10.
    However I can RDC to Win 7 VM.

    Win 8.1 USB Drivers for Lumia 1520

    Are there special USB drivers for Win 8.1 to allow the 1520 to be seen as a full USB device instead of just a MTP device? The Hyper-V VM environment already has the Windows Phone SDK's installed and the RDC specifies redirecting recent plugins to the VM.

    Can't get Emulators in Visual Studio in Win 10 installed

    I purchased a new Dell XPS 8700 computer with 8.1 on it.

    I updated to Win 10 Home.

    I then updated to Win 10 Pro.

    I made sure I was set to Developer mode.

    I made sure my BIOS was set for Hyper-V.

    I set Windows Hyper-V on and it says to restart the computer.

    When I restart the computer the updates start to install, but they fail and roll back.

    Does anyone know why the Hyper-V updates would fail?

    Is the Windows 8.1 vm a Pro or Enterprise edition? Only these editions can act as remote host, allowing incoming remote desktop connections. The Windows 8.1 core / basic version cannot be connected to with remote desktop.

    If you have 8.1 installed "Add features" then enter the Pro key to upgrade to Pro Add Features to Windows 8

    Checked. They are Windows 8 Pro keys. No DVD or ISO for Windows 8.

    But I've got the Teamviewer working. *Smile

    I don't know then about 8 ISOs. If you aren't set on Windows 8.x you could install 10 Pro as you activate that with an 8 Pro key.

    You can either download the 10565 insider build from here Windows 10 Insider Preview ISO and upgrade to 10586 (you can then leave the insider program) or wait a few days and download 10586 direct.
