Windows 10: Hyper-V Virtual Network on Windows Server 2019 DC

For an SMB I work with, I have been given the responsibility of building Development/Staging guest machines. What kinds of virtual switches I can build in Hyper-V are a mystery to me. Would appreciate if anyone can help me understand the below.The Host is on Class A 10.0.0.0/24 network and can communicate both internally and on internet.Guest OS VM's should be a separate network with 192.168.0.0/16, should not communicate with Host network but should have access to Internet so the developers can push/pull version codes from internet.What type of Virtual Switch needs to be created and how do I

hyper-v virtual battery not working on windows server

Hyper-V has a virtual battery / battery passthrough for Hyper-V which is very helpful is detected on windows 10. I have a powerful laptop (more like portable desktop) that's running windows server. Virtual battery does not work when creating a VM on windows
server 2019 Hyper-V. But works when I create a VM in windows 10 on the same laptop. Is it possible to enable this feature, or request it be added to windows server's hyper V?

 

Several Windows Server Core Hyper-V Virtual Machines cannot ping their default gateway

We have a Windows Server Core 2019 Hyper-V server serving four Hyper-V Clients (two Windows Server 2019 GUI) and (two Windows Server Core 2019 Servers). The Hyper-V Server has full network connectivity and is a member of a domain. All 4 Virtual Machines are pingable from the Hyper-V host and each VM can ping the Hyper-V Server. They are on a 10.18.21.0-10.18.21.255 network with a gateway 10.18.21.1. The Hyper-V host and one VM has full network connectivity however the other three VMs cannot ping their default gateway 10-.18.21.1 or reach the rest of the network.

These three VMs are not reachable via connecting from Windows Server Admin also.

 

Hyper-V, Windows 2019 Guests network intermittent

I am running one Realtek NIC, on a Windows Server 2019 Datacentre Host machine with 2 virtual machines hanging from this, both running windows server 2019.

Up until recently, there have been no issues with connectivity to the server and we have been running fine. As of an unexpected shutdown on Saturday, we are now able to ping the host with a stable connection, but the guest machines are running at a 40-60%
packet loss continuously.

Steps tried: VMQ Disabled on all machines and adapters Deleting Hyper-V virtual switch Resetting Windows network settings Updating drivers Updating Windows

No settings were changed before it went from working to non-working. Has anyone got any ideas?
