    I have been using OneNote for a long time now without any problems. I use OneNote 2007 because I am familiar with it and I am a bit of a luddite.


    I cut and paste internet links regularly into OneNote and have done so for many years but lately ii has started replacing the full link with this 'Text To Display' which causes me a lot of work when I want to forward my work to others.


    I have the same problem when pasting links into e-mails and the MS Edge browser window I'm typing into now.

    For example this web address : https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/?SilentAuth=1&ql=5&wa=wsignin1.0 is replaced by Microsoft - Official Home Page


    Consequently I don't think the issue is with my antiquated version of MS Office but some setting within Windows 10. How can I stop this?

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    • Do you have Internet Explorer set as a default program?
    • Do you face the issue only with the hyperlinks from an email?
    • On which email application do you face this issue?

    We would suggest you to copy the hyperlink or use an hyperlink from a wordpad and check if you face the same issue.

    remove hyperlinks in Windows 10 Mail. Should be right-click "remove hyperlink" option for selected text.

    • When you say, “Should be right-click "remove hyperlink" option for selected text” do you want to remove a hyperlink for the selected text in an email?
    • Which version of Mail app are you using? To check open
      Mail app, go to Settings >> About.
