Windows 10: Hyperlinks not working after removing the files with hyperlinks NOT refered file

I though it´s perfectly OK to move .odt files WITH RELATIVE HYPERLINKS refering to other .odt files to another folder within OneDrive or within my USB Drive not across OneDrive + USB Drive without breaking the hyperlinks. It´s apparently no the case. I am not about moving files that are refered - their names and names of folders and subfolders where they are stored remain the same. If I have for example a file stored in folderC:/Users/nnn/OneDrivemmm/FF/FF/GG/XXand hyperlink contained in this file includes this pathfile:///C:/Users/nnn/OneDrivemmm/FF/FF/YY/RR/KK .If I copy thi

RELATIVE references for Hyperlinks

I am seeking a solution for this problem.

I am trying to hyperlink various cells that are within a single colunm within a
single worksheet.

(FYI: My reasons for "hyperlinking" rather than "paste linking" are specific for this application.)

Using the Insert Hyperlinks window, I've selected "Place in this Document". When the dialog box pops up I am prompted to "Type the cell reference" (seemingly making the entered info/cell
an absolute reference) RATHER THAN having the ability to "click" on your desired referencing cell which would allow a RELATIVE reference.

After entering a number of hyperlinks, I "tested" my worksheet by "INSERTING" a number of rows which resulted in the hyperlinks referencing incorrect cell locations.

Suggestions are most welcomed!

Hello: Thank you for your prompt response. I think it worked. I followed the procedure in one file and now the hyperlinks and hyperlinked text in other files are working. It feels good that one can depend on the kindness of strangers.
