An error occurred while attempting to connect to server '***'. Please check if the virtual machine management service is running and if you are authorized to connect to this server.i can confirm hyperV is starting and i add the user into "Hyper-V administrator"group,still meet error, how can i check?

Virtual Machine could not be started because the hypervisor is not running server

Am getting the above error when trying to start virtual machines on my server running windows server 2012 R2. They were working fine but we had an unexpected shutdown due to power outage. I have tried the solutions below but none worked.

• Restarting the Hyper V Virtual Machine Management service.
  
• Setting the hypervisorlaunchtype to auto.
  

Please help. The physical server is HP proliant DL120 Gen9

 

HyperV Management issues

Suddenly, Hyper-V Manager is not showing any of my VMs. About my only option is "Connect to Server". When I try to connect to the service locally, I get a message saying to check theat the Virtual Machine Management Service is running. VMMS.exe appears
to be running. The event log says "Virtual Machine Management service is waiting for system upgrade to complete." but as far as I know, no System upgrade is in progress.
