    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm Microsoft user like you.

Your memory ran out. Not much more than 2.9G is available for Windows as a hypervisor, and you need to set aside some for the host and other activities. Hyperv appropriately compensates for this; just because memory is free, it doesn't mean that it isn't subject to resident allocation by a more essential host process. You rarely want a single virtual machine (VM) to cause the host operating system to become unusable due to memory issues.

Click start -> Type msconfig -> Click the "Boot" tab -> Click "Advanced options" button -> Uncheck "Maximum memory" -> Reboot your computer.

In case of additional questions, reach out back to me, and I will be happy to help and try our best to resolve your issue.

    Best Regards,

    Prakash

Space is not the problem here. You are talking about RAM and you allocated 8GB. (as shown in your original post) Depending how much the host has of RAM will depend on how much can be allocated for the VM.

But 5.2GB hardware reserve (on the host) is a lot it should be MB not GB, unless you have onboard graphics in use.
