  2. Accidental deleted system reserved partition, Now windows 10 is isn't found in my C: drive

I was trying to format an old drive that came from anither device that no longer worked after I had recovered all of my data from it, I had put into my computer and accidentally selected the wrong drive partition as the old one came from a Nas and had many partitions, and ended up accidentally deleting the system reserve section at the beginning of my C:\\ drive.

Now somehow everytime I boot my PC, it can't find an operating system on my C:\\ drive, and I instead have to select a different drive (not the one I was formating) which was already in my PC being used for extra storage, and as far as I'm aware doesn't even have windows installed on it.

Yet in the disk manager on the C:\\ drive it shows Healthy (boot, page file, active, crash dump, primary partition).

Then the other drive says Healthy (system, active, primary partition).

I've tried to restore windows, repair windows, everything short of trying to completely erase and reinstall windows all over again.

How can I get it back to the way it's supposed to be so that my PC will boot properly from the C drive and detect the operating system there instead of acting like it's on the other drive?

  3. Accidental deleted system reserved partition, Now windows 10 is isn't found in my C: drive

In case the IA doesn't see your reply (since a week has passed by), read below:

The command in Step 4 command would be

    create partition primary

    Or, use:

    create partition primary size=200

Note: By the way, the command-line posted by Volume Z is your easiest fix that makes your c: drive bootable. But now you're booting from USB stick, verify your Windows partition's drive-letter by running "list vol".

Whereas the other set of instructions ("create partition primary" and the remaining steps) are required only if you want to recreate the System Reserved partition.

  4. I accidentally deleted system reserved drive and System drive nkw i can't boot into windows.

Installed a new drive, now my system tries to boot from the wrong drive

This is why it's always best to wipe an OS drive of all partitions, and then if necessary of boot code using DIskpart Clean Command, so they don't interfere.

Make sure the SSD is set first to boot in BIOS setup under Boot Priority Order.

Go into Disk Mgmt and delete the System Reserved partition on the hard drive. If it fails then Type CMD in Start Search, right click result to Run as Admin. Then run these commands to delete it:

    https://techjourney.net/delete-and-remove-prote...

If the above fails to delete hard drive System Reserved, in Command Box type each command followed by the Enter key:

    DISKPART

    LIST DISK

SEL DISK 0 (confirm from list this is the number of HDD)

    LIST PART

SEL PART 1 (confirm from list this is the partition number)

    INACTIVE

    EXIT

Now restart PC to see if it still interferes.

If so swap the data cables on the drives and then confirm the SSD is set first to boot and stays that way as DISK0.
