Windows 10: i Accidentally disabled both my administrator accounts how can i enable it back, Thank you...

I was actually trying to disable one of my administrator account but I accidentally disabled both of them now I can't access anything that requires administrator privileges, how can I enable it back, thank you for your time.

And now to thank you once again for a great guide as always as well as stopping to share one finding here regarding the screens in Step 2 and Step 6 in Option Two.





I had to delay the catch with the snipping tool in order to catch both screens in the act of first in Step 2 getting into the user groups and unchecking the box to not only enable the hidden admin account but to provide the full name for it. For security reasons random name changes can help prevent any negative consequences from having it enabled and someone finding out just what name the hidden admin uses.

The other screen captures shows the need to use the right click to rename option when going to rename the account in addition to the rename on the line in the screen followed by clicking on the apply button. A fast right click on the Start button to select the Control Panel followed by opening the Administrative tools as outlined in Option Two saves a whole world of time if and when you decide to rename it.





Still need to work on that other item regarding taking ownership but wanted you to see that there is a little room even with the built in account for a little customization?

built-in Administrator account using the command prompt from a different administrator user account and check if the issue persist.



Steps to disable and enable the built-in Administrator account.

1. Click on Windows Search/Cortana and type
   CMD, right click on command prompt and select run as admin.
   
2. Type Net user administrator /active:no
   and hit enter key to disable the built-in Administrator account
   
3. Restart the PC and login to the
   Administrator account and perform step 1.
   
4. Type Net user administrator /active:yes
   and hit enter key to enable the built-in Administrator account

Enabling hidden elevated administrator account fails

To understand the issue better, let me know if you have any other administrator User Account?

If you have other administrator user account, you may login to that user account and try to
enable built-in administrator account. If there are no other administrator user accounts, you may enable built-in administrator account from WinRE and check if it helps. To enable built-in
administrator account follow these steps:

• 
  Insert the Windows 10 Installation Disc.
  
• 
  Click on Repair your System.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced Startup Options.
  
• 
  Click on Command Prompt.
  
• 
  Type: net user administrator /active: yes
  

Note: Please follow the same steps and type
net user administrator /active: no to disable admin account after the troubleshooting is done.
